Additional books will be available to purchase on the day if required.
The purpose of the publication is to provide a structure for schools to use when they are developing and sharing assessment for learning strategies.
It provides an alternative and perhaps a more practical approach to writing another policy document.
The structure has been illustrated by a group of special school practitioners who have shared their ‘Top Ten Tips’.
Whilst the examples of ‘what it looks like’ are from special schools the principles and ideas apply to any educational context.

There are nine sections in the book. Each tip has:

  • practical exemplification
  • ideas for INSET/staff training
  • references to other useful sources of information
