We are expecting a visit from the Ofsted inspectors on the 16th January, 2018.
Have you seen our new promotional video featuring pupils and employees of The Garden School?

We are back and looking forward to our biggest and best academic year yet!
There have been lots of changes in school over the summer holidays. Firstly, check out our new installation in reception.
Our brand new trees were designed and installed by We Are Limitless and our pupils love them!
Secondly, our pupils have a new look too! The Garden School has a brand new school uniform, proudly modelled above. We are sure you will agree it looks great! We have more order forms for uniform at reception, so if parents do need school uniform, please get in touch.
…..There is something quite unique about The Garden School
We are very proud of the feedback that we receive at The Garden, so much so that we have displayed it around the school…
Last but by no means least, we have installed playground equipment for pupil use in our garden. It has been very well received by our pupils and below are pictures of just some of the new equipment we have installed.
A night to remember…. The Garden prom took place at the end of June, attended by staff, families and the stars of the evening, our year 11 leavers, who were certainly dressed to impress.
Below and above are just a few pictures from the evening. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise our school prom and all staff who volunteered their time to ensure that our pupils had the send off they deserved.
A special thank you to Filipe Serralheiro who kindly volunteered his time to take such wonderful photos of our pupils, staff and their families.
On Tuesday 27th June, The Garden School hosted another fabulous art exhibition. The exhibition was well attended and below are some examples of pieces from the exhibit. Thank you to all who attended and made the event a success.
MADD about Hackney Creative Arts Festival
This year the Garden is once again a part of MMADD about Hackney Creative Arts Festival. ‘ The festival shows off the fantastic quality of work in the arts in schools and sixth forms across Hackney and beyond, and brings that work to the wider audience that it deserves. Our aim is to bridge the often perceived gap, between young people and schools, and the wider community.’
Pupil’s art work will be exhibited at SPACE (129–131 Mare Street, Hackney London, E8 3RH)
Saturday, 1st of July: Art Night (is a free annual contemporary arts festival that transforms London for one unforgettable night) Space will be open all day and evening, bar outside.
Monday, 3rd of July: Private View, 5.30 on, drinks and nibbles.
Thursday 6th of July: First Thursday, late opening, drinks and nibbles.
Autism Awareness Month is now over and we wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody who donated a prize to our raffle, bought a raffle ticket, sponsored our parent walk or sponsored the employees who took part in the Run Hackney half marathon.
We have so far raised £6520.00.
Sponsored Parent Walk
Our Parent 5k walk has so far helped us raise over £1800.00. Our amazing parents set off on the 26th April to raise awareness of autism and the work that our school does. Thank you to all parents who took part in the walk. Parents were due to have a picnic in the park to celebrate their achievement, but we didn’t let the bad weather put us off and instead had an indoor picnic to celebrate. Tesco kindly donated our picnic products.
Raising Awareness at Hackney Learning Trust
During Autism Awareness Week (27th March – 2nd April 2017) our pupils and staff raised awareness by selling craft and providing information on Autism (ASD) at The Learning Trust. Our pupils provided employees and passers by with leaflets and managed fundraise at the same time!
Run Hackney Half Marathon
On Sunday 30th April, 13 employees from The Garden School took to the streets of Hackney to complete 13.1 miles – even our Chair of Governors joined in. We’ve managed so far to raise £2950.00 and donations are beginners. All managed to finish the race in a very good time although there were some sore legs the next morning!
Due to the high needs of our children, many families find it difficult to find appropriate provision after school and during school holidays for their children to attend.
The money that is raised through our fundraising campaign will be used to set up a highly specialised and free after-school club. There are also plans in place to start up a subsidised provision for our pupils during the school holidays.
